The Red Onion Variety Zalla is known for its excellent preservation properties and medium-late cycle. Characterized by flat bulbs with a stunning copper-purple skin when dried, this onion has a deep purple interior that shifts to violet toward the center. Bulbs can weigh up to 200 grams. Planting: Sow from November to February, depending on your area, using a direct field method with a dose of 6-8 kgs/ha or in seedbeds with 10g/m2, transplanting when the bulb reaches pencil thickness at a spacing of 15x20 cm. Harvest: Start from early July onwards based on the sowing period and cultivation method used.
