Marketmore Cucumber 1/2 Long

The Marketmore cucumber (Cucumis sativus) is a flavorful fruit of an annual herbaceous plant from the Cucurbitaceae family. The plant features large green leaves with small herbaceous spines and tendrils that allow it to climb, ensuring high-quality and healthy fruits. The cucumber is a refreshing vegetable with a green skin that can be dark or even yellowish, depending on the variety. Inside, the cucumber has a white, watery pulp with flattened seeds scattered throughout. There are three types of cucumbers: short, medium-long (French), and long (Dutch). CULTIVATION TIPS: Cucumber is a warm-season plant that halts growth below 10-12 ºC. It prefers well-drained soils rich in organic matter and is usually sown between March and May. Support with trellises to keep fruits off the ground is recommended, and control potential phito-pathological issues. Harvest when tender to avoid bitterness.
